AfroDuo is a dating app. Before a first date, members can plan a date check-in and name a friend as their trusted contact. If they don't check in as safe after the date, or they tap "I need help," AfroDuo tells that friend. Sign up here to get those alerts by text message.

What we text

Safety alerts: when a member who named you as their trusted contact misses their date check-in, or taps "I need help." The text says who it is and where the date was, so you can check on them.
A sign-up confirmation right after you join, and replies to HELP or STOP.
No marketing, no promotions, no dating messages.

How often

Message frequency varies. You only get a text when someone who named you needs a check, which for most people is rarely, usually no more than 2 texts per date check-in.

Cost

AfroDuo never charges for these texts. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

Stop or get help anytime

Reply STOP to any AfroDuo text to cancel. You'll get one message confirming you're unsubscribed, and no more texts after that. Reply START to sign up again. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@afroduo.com or (737) 395-3009.

Your number stays private

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything from AfroDuo. We don't sell, rent or share your phone number with anyone for marketing. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is only used to send these safety alerts. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
